Come join us for our next meeting on March 29 as we learn about Pricing and Negotiation. Vanessa Oshima, General Manager, Women’s Category, at Nike Japan, will lead an interactive workshop on identifying and developing strategies for successful price setting and negotiating in business– often referred to as an art, as much as a skill.

Vanessa`s passion has always been about “knowing” and asking “why?”  She started out in the more theoretical works of academia and then writing about business best practices, before finding her passion in Consumer Insights, strategy and brand building.

An avid supporter of empowering women, her experience lies in connecting insights about markets, consumers, brands, and trends to determine winning products and great experiences for the consumer and the bottom line. She has been fortunate to oversee many powerful brands, providing her expertise in holistic brand building– from market gap, to product innovation, pricing and positioning, and in market brand and retail execution and sales.

Vanessa is currently the General Manager, Women’s Category, for Nike Japan.  Prior to that, she was Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning at Coca-Cola Japan.

About FEW Women’s Start-Up Club

Do you run your own business or are you interested in starting one?

Women’s Start-up Club is a small group that meets once in two months to discuss issues, insights and successes of women running or planning their own businesses in Japan.

The Three Pillars of Women’s Start-up Club:

  1. Thought: Speakers who make us think and give us real and useful information to help our businesses / plans for starting a business.
  2. Talk: The chance to ask questions and contribute to the evening.
  3. Takeaways: A summary of the message by the speaker for each meeting.

Our Vision:

  • To provide a place where likeminded women can talk in a safe and supportive environment about their business successes and issues.
  • To give all women a chance to speak out
  • To provide quality speakers who will enhance our businesses.

All women welcome, whether you have just started your own business, have been running one for years, want to start one or just want to be inspired by meeting energetic women!
