In July, we invite you to try your hand at making three kinds of sushi: temaki (hand rolled), oshisushi (pressed) and flower sushi. You’ll also learn to make a couple of Japanese side dishes and, of course, enjoy eating them! Arigato Japan is offering this special two-hour class for FEW members and guests with one of their experienced teachers. This class will introduce you to some traditional Japanese seasonal ingredients and how to use them. There will be some sneaky lunchtime libations, too, of umeshu (plum wine) and Nihonshu (Japanese sake).
This sushi is fun and easy to make and looks stunning. We hope to see you there!
Arigato Japan Food Tours and Cooking Classes are a fun way to learn more about Japanese culinary culture from knowledgeable, bilingual instructors. Whether you’re looking to explore a new side of Tokyo on foot and learn where to dine like a local or get in the kitchen with a new recipe, they offer a program that’s right for you, no matter what your experience level. Groups welcome!
